Open enrollment begins for patients in Maryland

The open enrollment period for patients to register with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) registry began on Monday.  In a press release, the MMCC reminded patients that  medical marijuana is still illegal in Maryland, but that it “anticipates that medicine should be available to patients from a licensed Dispensary in late Summer 2017, depending on industry progress.” The MMCC’s projected Summer 2017 roll-out is optimistic, but the open enrollment period is undoubtedly a sign the the long awaited roll-out will be a reality.
