D.C. is Getting a 6th Medical Marijuana Dispensary

More than two years after the District rolled out its medical marijuana program, the Department of Health will be accepting applications for a license to operate a 6th dispensary, east of the Anacostia in either Ward 7 or 8.  In the District, there are two stages of the application process, first, applicants must submit a “Letter of Intent” to DOH.  If an applicant’s Letter of Intent is approved, they proceed to the second stage which is the formal application period.   Competition for the single license is expected to be fierce.
